Every time I visit Barcelona, I’m dazzled by its restaurant scene and how welcoming it is to the gluten-free. Creativity and quality are consistently high, and yet the pricing is generally quite fair. Aside from avoiding the touristy mess that is Las Ramblas, I’ve eaten all over town, and I’ve loved what I’ve found.

Jansana Gluten Free Bakery: Located near Antonin Gaudi’s landmark Casa Milà, Jansana is essentially celiac paradise. Literally everything is gluten-free here. I actually visited twice while I was in town, which is really saying something in a city with so many great spots, but it means I can personally vouch for Jansana’s bacon quiche, apple tart, chocolate croissants, and cookies. There’s counter seating at the front and tables at the back, but most of the business is takeaway.
