I sadly never had the opportunity to dine at Bistango in Kips Bay, but I really enjoy the location inside the Kimberly Hotel! It was actually my choice for my birthday dinner this year too.
Thank you! Yes, it was fantastic, and the entire staff was so friendly and caring. I also don't drink very often anymore (yay for multiple food restrictions, LOL), and they whipped up a delicious mocktail for me too!
Hi there, Hilary! Here in Italy we too have suffered from the COVID impact on GF restaurants. Especially on those blessed by the AIC (Italian Coeliac Association). Co-incidentally, and the reason for this comment: In Bistagno (Bormida Valley, Piemonte) there is an hotel (Hotel Monteverde) whose restaurant (La Teca) is one of the elect. As well as being an anagram of your post, the village is on the railway line from Acqui Terme to Savona, and is no more than a hop, skip, and a jump from the UNESCO heritage area of the Langhe and Vineyards.

That's so lovely! They take really good care of people there, don't they? I hope you had a great time!

All the best!

Thanks so much for mentioning this, Michael! I think I need to do a post about some reader recommendations, and I will have to include this one!
